Hyderabad: T-Hub has partnered with the Indian Army’s Central Command to provide defence startups with opportunities to develop, validate and deploy technology solutions addressing real-world military challenges.
The partnership aims to create a direct connection between innovative startups and the Indian Army, supporting India’s ongoing defence modernisation efforts.
Under the collaboration, the Central Command will share active operational problem statements with T-Hub. Based on these requirements, T-Hub will identify and select suitable startups capable of developing relevant solutions.
A joint oversight committee will monitor the programme and coordinate engagement between participating startups and Army stakeholders.
T-Hub will support founders throughout the development process, from understanding military requirements to product development, testing, validation and deployment readiness. Startups will also receive operational feedback from Army representatives to help refine their technologies and ensure they meet field-level requirements.
The new partnership builds on T-Hub’s existing association with the Indian Army’s Western Command. This makes T-Hub one of the few organisations in India to maintain direct partnerships with the Army at the Command level.
T-Hub is also among the 28 organisations selected to implement the Ministry of Defence’s Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) initiative. As one of the country’s largest iDEX incubators, T-Hub has engaged with around 100 defence startups and hosted 70 innovation challenges under the programme.
Through this partnership, T-Hub and the Indian Army aim to accelerate the development of homegrown defence technologies and help promising innovations move from concept to practical military deployment.
