Telangana CM Revanth Reddy announced support for new film studios at Bharat Future City, assuring filmmakers complete facilities to produce their projects in the state.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met prominent figures including actors Chiranjeevi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Genelia, Arjun Kapoor, and Akkineni Amala, along with filmmakers Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, and Dil Raju. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were also present.
The Chief Minister assured the gathering that the government stands ready to provide comprehensive facilities for the growth of Telangana’s film industry. He highlighted the establishment of Skills University in Future City and urged them to explore training locals in 24 crafts to support film production needs. Akkineni Nagarjuna, who attended Monday’s event, announced plans for Annapurna Studio in Future City, while Salman Khan Ventures Pvt Ltd revealed a Rs 10,000-crore integrated township and film studio project.
The township will include a championship golf course, luxury leisure facilities, a race track, curated nature trails and upscale residential spaces. It will also house a cutting-edge film studio complex equipped for large-format productions, OTT content creation, post-production work and talent development programmes.
The state government has committed to providing land and infrastructure support for the proposed Film City to be developed by Ajay Devgn Film Studio. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy praised Hyderabad’s rise as an entertainment hub with Ramoji Film City, top VFX/gaming companies, and skilled talent. He confirmed state commitment to policy reforms, production facilitation, AVGC-XR centers, and industry ties.
Minister announced welfare measures: capital subsidies, local resource reimbursements, and ticket-funded worker support.
