Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar Assures Citizens of Stable LPG and Fuel Supplies Across the Twin Cities
In a swift move to address growing public concern, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar issued a formal assurance on Tuesday regarding the city’s fuel and LPG supply. Following a flurry of rumors that led to long queues at various petrol bunks across the twin cities, the Commissioner clarified that there is absolutely no shortage of essential fuels or gas refills.
The administration has been closely monitoring the supply chain in coordination with oil companies and distribution departments. According to official reports, stocks are being replenished at a normal pace, and there are no disruptions to the logistics network.
Avoiding the Ripple Effect: Why Panic Buying Does More Harm Than Good
The primary concern for the authorities isn’t the supply itself, but the artificial demand created by panic. Commissioner Sajjanar highlighted that when citizens rush to fuel stations simultaneously, it triggers a chain reaction of local issues:
- Traffic Congestion: Massive queues at bunks spill over onto main roads, causing gridlock.
- Unnecessary Panic: Seeing long lines leads others to believe there is a genuine crisis, fueling further rumors.
- Resource Strain: It puts an immense burden on fuel station staff and local police managing the crowds.
“We urge everyone to remain calm, avoid spreading or believing in rumors, and cooperate with authorities to ensure normalcy is maintained,” the Commissioner stated.
The Hyderabad City Police continue to oversee the situation to ensure that petrol pumps remain accessible and that traffic flows smoothly. Residents are encouraged to go about their daily routines and purchase fuel only as per their regular requirements.
