HMDA Earns ₹1,225 Crore from Real Estate Permits, Fueling Hyderabad’s Growth Story
Hyderabad continues to make headlines in the real estate world, and the latest update from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) confirms why. The HMDA has reported an impressive ₹1,225 crore in revenue generated so far this financial year from real estate permits a reflection of the city’s booming development and investor confidence.
According to HMDA officials, the revenue primarily comes from building permissions, layout approvals, and development charges across multiple residential and commercial projects. The strong performance highlights Hyderabad’s sustained demand for real estate, driven by its robust infrastructure, expanding IT corridors, and well-planned urban growth.
Industry experts note that the city’s western region including Kokapet, Gachibowli, and Puppalaguda remains a hotbed for real estate activity. At the same time, HMDA’s streamlined approval process and increased transparency have made it easier for developers to participate and invest.
The HMDA plans to reinvest a portion of these revenues into road infrastructure, green initiatives, and lake restoration projects, which are vital to maintaining Hyderabad’s urban balance amid rapid expansion.
With such strong revenue figures, HMDA’s performance reinforces the city’s position as one of the top realty destinations in India, setting the stage for even more ambitious urban development projects in the coming years.
