Hyderabad is gearing up for a major motorsport celebration as the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), the world’s first franchise-based Supercross series, arrives in the city on December 6. The second round of the championship will take place at Gachibowli Stadium, and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy officially launched the event poster, marking an important moment for motorsport in Telangana.
Bollywood star Salman Khan is also expected to attend the event as the special guest, adding star power to the high-energy racing spectacle.
No Public Funding Involved
Event officials clarified that the Supercross race is being conducted without government financial support. Unlike the Formula E race, the state is not providing public funds to the private organisers. The event is being managed independently, ensuring transparency and self-sustainability.
A Global-Standard Racing Experience
The poster launch saw the presence of ISRL Co-Founders and representatives of BigRock Motorsports. The Hyderabad round will feature competitive off-road motorcycle racing with participation from top Indian and international riders.
This is the first time Telangana will host a Supercross event of this scale, promising advanced racing infrastructure, world-class athletes and an electrifying fan experience.
Aligned with Telangana Rising 2047 Vision
The initiative supports Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Telangana Rising 2047 vision, which aims to promote innovation, youth engagement and growth in sports and tourism. The ISRL race not only showcases Hyderabad’s sporting potential but also strengthens the city’s position on the global motorsports map.
ISRL Co-Founder Eeshan Lokhande described his meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as highly encouraging and appreciated the state leadership for supporting world-class sporting initiatives. He said Supercross celebrates courage, skill and passion, and expressed hope that the league will inspire young riders across Telangana to pursue motorsport with confidence.
The upcoming Hyderabad round is expected to create new opportunities in sports, culture and the local economy. Organisers anticipate thousands of spectators, international teams and motorsport enthusiasts to attend the event.
The celebrations will begin on December 5 with the Reise Moto Fan Park, a major highlight during Round 1 in Pune. The fan park will feature live music, gaming zones, racing simulators, food and beverage stalls, merchandise counters and a range of experiential attractions designed to bring a festive, carnival-like atmosphere to motorsport lovers.
