Google has unveiled five new features for its Chrome browser on Android and iOS mobile devices in New Delhi, aimed at enhancing the search experience. These updates introduce shortcuts for local search results and a redesigned address bar for simpler navigation.
Google has introduced several notable updates to its Chrome browser across Android and iOS platforms. Among these enhancements is the new ‘Chrome Actions’ feature, designed to streamline interactions with local businesses. For instance, users searching for restaurants will find shortcut buttons in the results to quickly call, get directions, or read reviews.
Currently active on Chrome for Android, ‘Chrome Actions’ will be available on iOS later this autumn. Additionally, Google has optimized the Chrome address bar for iPads and Android tablets, leveraging their larger screens. A new shortcut suggestions feature, personalized for users based on their typical navigation patterns, has also been introduced for both Android and iOS.
Furthermore, Chrome’s Discover Feed on the New Tab page now includes live sports cards for iOS and Android users. This feature delivers real-time updates during games for users who follow or have shown interest in specific teams.
