Over 10,000 students attended the inaugural day of the second edition of the ‘Rising with Kindness’ Youth Summit, organized by Heartfulness in collaboration with The Commonwealth, United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad.
The event saw the presence of Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Labour and Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, along with Dr. Hamdan Al Shaer, Daaji, Guide of Heartfulness & President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Deputy Chairman of the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment; Sushil Ram from the Commonwealth Secretariat; Dr. RC Agrawal, Deputy Director General of Education at ICAR; and Brijesh Dholakia, CEO of Hari Krishna Exports. World Champion P.V. Sindhu joined the event virtually.
The fireside chat featured Pragya Mishra, Lead of Public Policy & Partnerships at OpenAI, Neeti Goel, Founder of the Wht Now Initiative—a Youth Forum against Cyber Harassment, and Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, Director of the Youth Program at the Heartfulness Institute. The evening sessions included meditation and a Q&A session with Daaji, and the day concluded with a concert by vocalist Shibani Kashyap.
