Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, on Tuesday (June 3), officially announced the return of Ramgopalpet Police Station to its original location on James Street, Secunderabad. The announcement came during his visit to the historic structure, which has recently been restored through renovation efforts by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

The announcement was made during his visit to the historic building, which was recently restored through renovation efforts by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

Built in 1900, the James Street Police Station served as the Ramgopalpet Police Station for 116 continuous years until its relocation in 2016. Reflecting on his tenure as DCP of the Central Zone, Commissioner Anand recalled the station’s historic role in hosting numerous public outreach programmes and key policing initiatives.
