Hyderabad, October 23, 2025: In a strong move to combat drug abuse and promote awareness, the Falaknuma Police recently organized an essay writing competition at the Government High School Jangammet. Around 100 students from classes 8 to 10 participated, expressing their views against drug addiction in Urdu, English, and Telugu.
The competition aimed to educate young minds about the dangers of drug abuse and empower them to become advocates of a drug-free India. Inspector A. Seethiah from Falaknuma Police Station emphasized the program’s goal to create awareness and encourage students to spread the message among friends, family, and the community.
Alongside the essay contest, an awareness drive highlighted the physical and social harms caused by drugs. Sub-Inspector Shaik Abdul Raheem urged students to cultivate healthy habits, focus on education, and actively report suspicious activities related to drug use.
This initiative reflects the critical role of youth in creating a responsible and healthy society. By engaging students in such activities, Falaknuma Police hopes to inspire a generation that rejects drugs and chooses life, health, and productivity over addiction.
Hyderabad’s efforts against the drug menace continue to grow stronger through community programs and police outreach, setting an inspiring example for other cities.
