Hyderabad is set to celebrate India’s cinematic and cultural diversity by hosting Northeast-Telugu film screenings on November 21 and 22, 2025, as part of the North East Connect Film Festival. The festival will take place at IMAX Theatre, Hyderabad, where audiences can experience 12 unique films—including eight acclaimed titles from the Northeast (in languages such as Tripuri, Nepali, Hindi, Khasi, Assamese, and Manipuri) alongside four notable Telugu films.
Organized by the Telangana State Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) under the North East Connect – A Techno Cultural Festival 2025, the event aims to strengthen creative and cultural ties between Telangana and the North Eastern states. The festival will be attended by film directors and prominent personalities, and will include screenings in Screen 4 and Screen 5 at IMAX, ensuring a comfortable and enriching experience for guests.
Beyond film, the North East Connect Festival also features IT and cultural programs at multiple venues across Hyderabad, reinforcing the city’s role as a hub for cultural unity and cinematic talent. Hyderabad film lovers, students, and the community at large are warmly invited to attend and enjoy the vibrant tapestry of Indian cinema during these special screenings, and to participate in this celebration of cultural exchange and storytelling.
