In many parts of Hyderabad, minimum temperatures have already fallen below 15°C.
Hyderabad: Residents may have to brace for eight days of intense winter, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts foggy conditions.
Apart from Hyderabad, other districts across Telangana are also likely to experience severe winter conditions.
Temperature Dips:
Minimum temperatures in the city have already fallen below 15°C in several areas, including Tirumalagiri, Asifnagar, Maredpally, Bahadurpura, and Shaikpet.
In other districts of Telangana, minimum temperatures have dropped below 11°C, with Sangareddy recording the lowest mercury level at 10.5°C.
Meanwhile, Telangana weatherman Balaji, renowned for his accurate forecasts, has predicted a second cold wave from January 5 to 12, during which night temperatures are expected to fall sharply.
Day temperatures in Telangana are also expected to drop to around 25°C. However, the IMD Hyderabad has not issued any alert for the ongoing cold wave.
According to forecasts, hazy and foggy conditions are likely to prevail across the state.
No Winter Alert for Hyderabad
The weather department has predicted that foggy or misty conditions will continue in the city until January 8. Despite the cold spell, no official winter alert has been issued. Hazy conditions are expected to persist during the night and early morning hours.
Residents are advised to plan their travel accordingly, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours, due to reduced visibility.
