Kite & Sweet Festival (Jan 13-15) + Hot Air Balloons (Jan 16-18) in Hyderabad
The upcoming programmes in and around Hyderabad coinciding with Sankranti festival have generated significant interest among people. Telangana Tourism Department announced the dates and venues of the International Kites & Sweets Festival, Hot Air Balloon Festival, and Drone Festivals, to be organised between January 13 and 18
Various huge kites will soar over Parade Grounds in Secunderabad during the International Kite and Sweets Festival 2026 from January 13 to 15. Special night-flying events are scheduled on all three dates, with handloom and handicraft stalls plus food courts offering Telangana and other cuisines at the venue. The International Sweets Festival, organized with Culture Language Indian Connections (CLIC), will showcase diverse sweets prepared by Hyderabad residents from other states and countries, featuring around 40 international and 55 national kite flyers from 15 states.
