The inaugural edition of this unique collectible was officially received by Rajkumar Agrawal, a renowned senior coin collector hailing from Ghasi Bazaar, Hyderabad, known nationwide for his vast passion and expertise in rare currencies.
What Makes This ₹100 Coin Special?
Minted at the historical India Government Mint in Kolkata, this release is a standout addition to modern Indian coinage.
- First Coloured Design: Unlike traditional monochrome releases, this piece incorporates vibrant colours into its details, marking a technological and artistic leap for Indian mints.
- Intricate Reverse Features: The central reverse side highlights the iconic Make in India gear-lion logo, surrounded by eight coloured icons symbolizing key drivers of the Indian economy: science, technology, agriculture, and computer technology.
- Classic Obverse: The obverse carries the timeless Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar, with “सत्यमेव जयते” (Satyamev Jayate), the national motto, along with the ₹ symbol and denomination.
- Premium Alloy & Build: Composed of a quaternary alloy (50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc), the coin weighs 35 grams and features 200 serrations along its reeded edge.
