In a major boost to the country’s sports landscape, Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra and legendary badminton coach Pullela Gopichand have officially launched the Indian School of Coaching Excellence (ISCE).
What is the Indian School of Coaching Excellence (ISCE)?
The ISCE is designed to bridge the gap between traditional coaching and modern, high-performance sports science. Rather than focusing solely on sport-specific tactics, the institute will deliver multidisciplinary development programs that cover critical components of modern athletics:
- Sports Science & Technology: Leveraging data, biometrics, and advanced training techniques.
- Physical Literacy & Education: Building foundational biomechanics and long-term athlete development.

By serving as a collaborative knowledge-sharing hub, ISCE plans to work hand-in-hand with government bodies, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), sports federations, and high-performance centers nationwide.
