Hyderabad: For city-born Geethika Jakkala, making it big in New York as a design and architecture expert was no easy feat. After completing her schooling in Hyderabad, she moved to New York at the age of 17 to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture at the New York Institute of Technology. Since then, her journey has been unstoppable. Geethika has steadily built her career, leading projects for prominent companies like JP Morgan Chase, Inditex, and Booking Holdings Inc.
Geethika Jakkala has honed her craft as an Architectural Designer at prestigious firms like TPG Architecture in New York and Elkus Manfredi Architects in Boston. Her expertise in 3D renderings has contributed to several successful projects across New York, Boston, Texas, and beyond. Some of her most notable work includes JP Morgan Chase at 270 Park Avenue in New York, Texas Medical Center in Houston, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Among her recent and ongoing projects is a 23,000-square-foot corporate workplace interior fit-out for Booking Holdings Inc. at the iconic Empire State Building. She is also spearheading the development and repositioning of Zara’s 35,000-square-foot retail store at the luxurious Hudson Yards in New York. These projects highlight cutting-edge design and construction standards, reflecting Geethika’s ability to seamlessly integrate architectural design with project development.
Reflecting on one of her most challenging projects, Geethika recalls working on schematic and design drawings for an office space for JP Morgan Chase, where she had to address the diverse needs of multiple departments.
