Hyderabad: The unique art exhibition ‘Diverse Voices: Art Beyond Boundaries,’ featuring around 100 works by neurodiverse artists, was inaugurated at the Salar Jung Museum on Saturday. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and curated by Dr. Atiya Amjad, the exhibition will be open to the public until October 27. It presents a broad spectrum of artistic expressions, including paintings, drawings, photography, digital art, and clay/plastic models.
Each artwork provides a glimpse into the unique perspectives of neurodiverse artists. Through their creative expressions, these artists navigate the complexities of their social environments, offering not only artistic beauty but also serving as an inspiration to many. During the inauguration, the exhibition’s catalogue, which offers a comprehensive overview of the showcased artworks and their creators, was also released.
Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, who inaugurated the exhibition, shared that he was deeply moved by the efforts of the neurodiverse artists, emphasizing that art is something to be experienced rather than explained.
Vocalist Durga Jasraj, along with prominent figures such as Mohammed Ali Baig, Shalini Gupta (Founder Trustee, The Art Sanctuary), Ashish Goyal (Director of Salar Jung Museum), and others, were also in attendance.
