On Sunday, the international property consultant Savills, based in London, published a report titled “Hyderabad: The Sprint,” which indicates that the city is rapidly emerging as the economic powerhouse of India.
The report presented to Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) by the Savills team discusses the significant economic growth of Hyderabad and the critical factors behind it. According to the report, the Information Technology Business Process Management (IT-BPM) and Pharmaceuticals sectors played a crucial role in this growth.
KTR stated that Hyderabad has become the preferred gateway city for global corporations in various sectors due to its excellent infrastructure, policy support, quality real estate, and ease of living. He also affirmed the commitment to developing a top-notch business hub for future generations by creating favorable policies and attracting new businesses.
The economic success of Hyderabad is attributed to four primary factors, namely Policy Push, Infrastructure, Affordability, and Human Capital, with a fifth factor, Sectoral Focus, driving the momentum.
According to the report, government policies, including the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Policy 2.0, have fueled Hyderabad’s growth story and played a significant role in attracting multinational corporations to the city. The report also notes that Hyderabad has experienced a period of substantial economic growth, particularly when compared to other major urban centers in the country.
