Arvind Kumar is a bureaucrat and civil servant in the Government of India who has been serving in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) since 1991. He has worked in various capacities at the state level in both the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and the present Telangana State for over two decades. During his time in the Ministry of Finance from 2009-2014, he worked as Joint Secretary and was responsible for overseeing the insurance and banking sector. He has also served as a government-nominated director on the boards of several financial institutions, including NABARD, ICICI Bank, the New India Assurance Company, SIDBI, National Housing Bank, and IRDA.
The Government of Telangana is a democratically elected body that governs the state of Telangana, India. It comprises of the Governor, Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan who is the ceremonial head of the state, with a democratically elected Chief Minister, Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao, and his council of ministers who run the state.
