In a significant administrative reshuffle by the Telangana government, senior IPS officer Ravi Gupta (1990 batch) has been transferred and appointed as the Executive Vice-Chairman and Director General of the Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Telangana, Hyderabad. This notable transfer reflects the state government’s focus on optimizing governance through experienced leadership.

Ravi Gupta, who has served with distinction in various capacities, including as Special Chief Secretary to the Home Department and Chairman of the Road Safety Authority, is set to bring his ample experience to CGG. The Centre for Good Governance is instrumental in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficient public service delivery in Telangana.

This change is part of a larger reshuffle where several senior IPS officers assumed key new roles, including V.C. Sajjanar becoming the Hyderabad Police Commissioner and C.V. Anand taking over as Special Chief Secretary in the Home Department.

Ravi Gupta’s new assignment at CGG is anticipated to strengthen Telangana’s governance framework further as he prepares to retire soon after a notable career in public service.
