Mr. Somesh Kumar of the 1989 batch of the IAS from Bihar is the new chief secretary of the Government of Telangana succeeding Mr. S. K. Joshi. Mr. Somesh Kumar, born on December 22, 1963, and a post-graduate in Psychology from the University of Delhi, held key posts in high-profile departments.
