Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development in Hyderabad, KT Rama Rao, has stated that the first phase of the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) will be fully completed this year. With an allocation of Rs. 8,052 crore, 37 of the 48 projects have already been completed and the remaining 11 are currently underway. The Minister made this announcement in response to a question from BRS MLA KP Vivekanand during a session in the State Assembly.”
“KT Rama Rao, the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, announced that administrative approval for the second phase of the SRDP, which involves 36 projects and a budget of Rs. 4,305 crore, would be granted shortly. The aim of all these projects is to alleviate traffic congestion and the input of public representatives will be sought if any new projects are added.
Regarding the double-decker structure plan on the BHEL-Miyapur route via Allwyn Junction, the Minister expressed positive sentiments and stated that it would be evaluated. The purpose of the project, which involves constructing a bidirectional flyover with the Hyderabad Metro Rail on one level and vehicular traffic on the other, is to avoid land acquisition as it was previously denied by Defense authorities. The Minister provided this explanation.”
