Fasting during the Holy Month of Ramzan
Ramzan is a time of fasting and reflection for Muslims worldwide, as they observe a dawn-to-sunset fast. This is a mandatory act of worship for all adults except those who are ill. During the month, Hyderabad comes to life as worshippers attend prayers at mosques until midnight, with early morning prayers before dawn. The end of the month is marked by the sighting of the crescent, and Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of the Islamic calendar’s Shawwal month.
