When you’re unsure of what to eat, the best kind of menu is one that surprises you — offering variety, comfort, and a hint of adventure in every dish.
At Spice It, the in-house restaurant at ibis Hyderabad HITEC City, a fresh new menu designed by celebrity chef Sanjyot Keer does just that. It blends beloved Indian flavors with playful, thoughtful twists, creating something delightful for every mood and craving.
We kicked things off with the Waffle Appam Delight — crisp-edged waffles made from appam batter, served with a zesty tomato chutney. Light and flavorful, it instantly hit the spot. A side of coconut chutney added a creamy, nostalgic balance — the kind of familiar comfort you’d want to revisit again and again.
Next up were the Ghee Podi Idli Buttons — tiny, soft idlis soaked in fragrant ghee and coated with spicy podi. Each bite melted in the mouth, warm and indulgent, like the kind of breakfast that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

Then came a playful take on a street food favorite: the Pav Bhaji Fondue. A cheesy reinterpretation of the classic, the rich, spiced bhaji bubbled gently over a mini flame, paired with skewered pav buns. Scooping up the gooey mixture was as entertaining as it was satisfying — comfort food with a twist.
The Cloud Eggs Toasted Dreams brought a surprising change of pace. A crunchy slice of toast held a fluffy white cloud of whipped egg whites, concealing tender spinach dressed lightly in olive oil. Elegant, balanced, and full of texture, it stood out as one of the most inventive dishes on the menu.
Rounding out the experience were the Panko-Crusted Prawns — golden, crisp, and perfectly juicy. A side of spicy mayo added a gentle kick, complementing the natural sweetness of the prawns without overpowering it.

For those craving something more substantial, the Coastal Fish Curry delivered comfort in every bite. The fish was soft and flaky, nestled in a silky coconut gravy that carried layers of gentle spice. Paired with perfectly fluffy rice, it had the warmth and simplicity of a well-loved home-cooked meal.
Dessert brought a playful twist with the Gulab Jamun Ice Cream — mashed gulab jamun folded into creamy vanilla ice cream and served with crispy waffy sticks. It was sweet, nostalgic, and the perfect way to end a flavour-packed meal.
With dishes priced around INR 900 for two, this thoughtfully curated menu by Chef Sanjyot Keer offers a little something for every palate — from traditional comfort to modern fun — all in the heart of HITEC City.
