Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Amrapali Kata warned on Thursday of strict action against malls and multiplexes charging parking fees. In a press release, she noted that the issue of illegal parking fees was recently reported. Special teams found that malls were charging for parking despite rules stipulating it should be free with a purchase receipt.
A theater registered as a single screen was found operating multiple screens and selling poor-quality food, according to GHMC inspections. Notices have been issued to the malls and multiplexes found in violation.
Dengue Awareness:
Director of Public Health Ravindra Naik urged citizens to focus on mosquito control. On Thursday, he attended awareness sessions in Banjara Hills, where an art exhibition on the topic was held. He encouraged participants to keep their surroundings clean and observe every Friday as a dry day in their colonies.
Naik also visited dengue victims to assess their health and treatment, reviewed daily fever case records, and consulted with medical officers at the NBT Nagar primary health center. Chief Entomologist Dr. Rambabu and DM&HO Dr. Venkat, who accompanied him, outlined measures to prevent mosquito breeding and control dengue and other seasonal diseases.
