Hyderabad’s urban transformation continues at full speed as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) completes 15,508 pothole fillings citywide. The works, carried out on a war footing, are aimed at enhancing road safety, improving commuter experience, and reducing traffic congestion across major city zones.
With the rains receding, GHMC has intensified repairs on median strips, catch pits, and drainage lines, ensuring smoother traffic flow and safer roads for millions of commuters daily.
Key areas like LB Nagar, Charminar, Khairatabad, Serilingampally, Kukatpally, and Secunderabad have witnessed major progress in these upgrades, significantly improving connectivity between residential and commercial hubs.
GHMC Commissioner stated that these measures are part of the corporation’s commitment to making Hyderabad a model metropolitan city with world-class civic infrastructure. The ongoing works form a crucial part of Hyderabad’s broader initiative to modernize its transport network and ensure sustainable urban mobility.
As residents notice smoother roads and improved driving conditions, Hyderabad’s journey toward becoming a smart, resilient city takes another significant step forward.
