Konda Surekha, born August 19, 1965, is a prominent Indian politician, currently serving as the Cabinet Minister for Forest and Environment, and Endowments in the Government of Telangana, representing the Warangal East assembly constituency. Beginning her political journey with local governance roles, Surekha advanced within the Indian National Congress (INC), serving as an MLA and holding ministerial positions under Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s cabinet. After a brief stint with the YSR Congress and disagreements therein, she joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, winning a notable majority from Warangal East. Returning to the INC in 2018, she was appointed Cabinet Minister in the Revanth Reddy Ministry in December 2023, showcasing her dynamic and influential career in Telangana’s political sphere.

Tamilisai Soundararajan who is the ceremonial head of the state, with a democratically elected Chief Minister, Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy, and his council of ministers who run the state.
