Hyderabad: Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd Managing Director BM Santosh inaugurated the LPG pipeline works initiated by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) at Harshaguda near ORR on Thursday.
HPCL had recently commissioned the Mangalore-Hassan-Mysore LPG pipeline to meet the LPG demand mainly in the southern and western States through the Mangalore LPG import facility of HPCL, a press release said.
Presently, HPCL is extending this pipeline from Hassan in Karnataka to Cherlapalli in Telangana through Ananthapur with a length of 653 km to meet the LPG demands in these three States. Santosh appreciated HPCL’s foresight in laying this pipeline, which is expected to meet the increasing LPG demand in Telangana for the next several years in a seamless and safe manner.
The project is of national importance and will add to the eco-friendly movement of products to Hyderabad and also contribute to national prosperity for socio-economic needs, the release added.
