Hyderabad: Jishnu Dev Varma, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, was sworn in as the Governor of Telangana on Wednesday. The oath was administered by Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe. The ceremony at Raj Bhavan was attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, his cabinet colleagues, and Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy. In his address, Governor Dev Varma expressed gratitude to the President and Prime Minister of India for the significant responsibility entrusted to him.
“Telangana, at the heart of India, is a land of vibrant life and promise. The spirit of enterprise and innovation thrives here, with our people known for their resilience and determination,” Jishnu Dev Varma stated. He emphasized the importance of education and youth empowerment as key to a brighter future. He also highlighted the need for accessible quality healthcare and committed to promoting inclusivity and social justice. Varma called upon all citizens to work together in building an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future.
