Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based CtrlS Datacenters, which currently operates data centres in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Noida has opened a tier-4 (most advanced) data centre in Bengaluru on Thursday. The company will set up two new data centres in Hyderabad and one in Mumbai.
The company plans to open it’s second Hyderabad data centre next month in Gachibowli and will set up a hyper-scale data centre in Hyderabad within the IT corridor, which is going to be a one of its kind facility in the world.
CtrlS plans to invest Rs 1,200 crore towards its expansion in the next three years. Part of this investment will go into its upcoming data centre in Gachibowli, Mumbai and overseas expansion. About 70 per cent of new investments will be met through its internal accruals.
CtrlS founder and CEO Sridhar Pinnapureddy told Telangana Today, “We will spend Rs 1,200 crore in tranches over the next three years. The second Hyderabad data centre will be operational by March-end and we anticipate to keep the Mumbai data centre ready in the next six months.”
He added, “The hyper scale data centre, which will be the third data centre to come up in Hyderabad will be built in an 18-acre space and will be a mega data centre for very large industries who use data”
Bengaluru centre
The new centre opened up on Thursday is a tier-4 data centre that is the only LEED-certified Platinum rated tier-4 data centre in the world, under US Green Building Council LEED version 4 category for data centres.
The 1,50,000 sp ft facility will have an uptime of 99.99 per cent. This data centre also has a mini solar plant. The company plans to continue to harness the power of solar in all its future facilities.
Revenues
Sridhar Pinnapureddy said the company is seeing healthy growth rate in its profitability and revenues. With a 45 per cent CAGR, the company’s revenues stand at $100 million.
The company is seeing consistent growth rate in both it’s cloud and disaster recovery services, while data centres remain it’s core.
