Hyderabad’s Sarath City Capital Mall and Nexus Mall, two of the city’s premier shopping destinations, have secured spots among the top 25 most visited malls in India. This ranking was compiled by Bengaluru-based geolocation startup, GeoIQ.
Sarath City Capital Mall ranked 9th in daily footfall, attracting an average of 19,105 visitors per day, while Nexus Mall secured the 25th spot with an average of 14,493 daily visitors.
Malls in Delhi and Mumbai claimed the top spots in the list of the most visited shopping malls in India.
Delhi’s Vegas Mall ranked first with an average of 26,212 daily visitors, followed by V3S East Centre Mall, which attracted 24,282 visitors. Mumbai’s Phoenix Marketcity secured the third spot with around 23,000 daily visitors.
GeoIQ, a Bengaluru-based geolocation startup, uses AI-powered tools to estimate mall footfall across India. The company collects anonymized location data from mall visitors to provide accurate statistics.
Sarath City Capital Mall, located on the Gachibowli-Miyapur Road in Hitech City, Hyderabad, is the largest mall in Telangana and one of the biggest in the country, covering a massive 27,00,000 square feet. Owned by Sarath Group, the mall opened its doors in 2017.
Located in one of Hyderabad’s prime areas, Sarath City Capital Mall boasts 8 floors with a retail space of 19,31,000 square feet, making it the largest in India in terms of retail area. The mall is home to hundreds of Indian and international brands, offering their offline stores. Additionally, it houses AMB Cinemas, a luxury multiplex co-owned by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and Asian Cinemas, which draws thousands of moviegoers daily.
Another popular shopping destination in Hyderabad, Nexus Mall, located in Kukatpally, spans 8,00,000 square feet. It is owned by Mumbai-based real estate investment trust, Nexus Select Trust.
The rapid growth of shopping malls in Hyderabad reflects the city’s booming IT population, positioning it as a leading IT hub among India’s metropolitan cities.
