Hyderabad: Nehru Zoological Park has reached another milestone by being awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the fifth consecutive year, reaffirming its excellence in standards.
The ISO inspection team conducted a comprehensive evaluation focusing on wildlife conservation, especially of endangered species, through enhanced maintenance, planned breeding programs, collaborative research, and capacity-building initiatives before awarding the certification.
On Thursday, November 21, A. Sivaiah, the managing director of HYM International Certification Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, presented the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for 2024-25 to the administration team, led by Dr. Sunil S. Hiremath, Director of Zoo Parks, Telangana, and J. Vasantha, Curator of Nehru Zoo Park.
Speaking on the occasion, Vasantha highlighted that Nehru Zoo Park in Hyderabad is the only zoological park in the country to have received the ISO 9001:2015 certification for five consecutive years. She emphasized that the zoo will continue its efforts to improve and uphold the positive initiatives implemented moving forward.
