Hyderabad: With Ganesh Chaturthi less than a month away, City Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy held a coordination meeting on Saturday, August 24, to address various issues related to the event.
Representatives from the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samithi, who attended the meeting, raised concerns about various issues, including potholes, the need for better lighting at specific locations, availability of vehicles for mandapam organizers, and arrangements for food and water during the immersion night.
In response, authorities assured that all necessary resources would be allocated, including materials and personnel. They committed to providing an adequate number of cranes, conducting road repairs, installing lights, implementing measures to prevent electrocution, and ensuring the availability of tuskers, other heavy vehicles, and tree-pruning services.
Assuring that elaborate arrangements would be in place for the religious event, Police Commissioner Reddy urged stakeholders to comply with court orders and requested the Utsav Samithis to properly fill out the intimation forms discussed during the meeting.
Reddy emphasized that devotees would face no trouble or inconvenience during the festivities and called for cooperation from various departments to ensure effective execution of plans and the successful conduct of the festival.
