Hussain Sagar, constructed in 1563 by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah, remains a cherished tourist destination in Hyderabad.
The heart-shaped lake, named after Hussain Shah Wali, a master architect, served as the primary water source before Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar were built.
The Buddha statue, situated at the lake’s center, was installed in 1992.
Due to its popularity as a tourist attraction, Hyderabad Sailing Week is hosted at the lake annually.
