On Sunday, the union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Sports, Anurag Thakur inaugurated an International Sports Centre at Kanha Shanti Vanam’s Heartfulness Meditation Centre in Hyderabad. The facility was established by the Ministry of Sports, Khelo India, FIT India, and Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy.
In the serene location of Heartfulness, which boasts the world’s largest meditation centre, a sports complex was inaugurated with the presence of Kamlesh Patel ‘Daaji’, Guide of Heartfulness Meditation Worldwide and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Minister for Tourism and Sports Srinivas Goud, and badminton coach Pullela Gopichand. The complex is intended to promote sports and fitness.
The facility, covering an area of 54,680 square feet and equipped with modern infrastructure such as 14 badminton courts, three squash courts, a 30-meter swimming pool, and a gym, operates on a pay-and-play model and welcomes anyone above the age of five to use it.
