Skyroot Aerospace is the first private company in India to build a homegrown upper-stage rocket engine. They named the engine ‘Raman’ after the Nobel laureate Sir C.V. Raman. The company is looking forward to its inaugural launch that is set before 2022 with the assistance of the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO).
