As the ceremony drew to a close, Prof. (Dr.) K. M. Baharul Islam extended his gratitude to the chief guest, Shri Kamal Bali, by presenting him with a token of appreciation.
IMT Hyderabad recently celebrated the convocation ceremony for its 2023-2025 batch on campus, marking a proud moment in the successful completion of the academic year. The event featured a distinguished procession led by Prof. (Dr.) Steven Raj Padakandla, PGP Chairperson, alongside the Chief Guest Shri Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director of Volvo Group India. The convocation procession also included Prof. (Dr.) K M Baharul Islam, Director of IMT Hyderabad, the Board of Governors, and faculty members. The ceremony commenced with an inaugural lamp lighting by the Chief Guest and the Director, symbolizing unity and harmony.
During the event, Prof. (Dr.) K M Baharul Islam and Shri Kamal Bali unveiled “Daaitva,” IMT Hyderabad’s new CSR initiative, along with its logo. The convocation souvenir for the graduating batch was also released. Prof. Islam presented the academic year’s highlights, emphasizing significant placement successes with over 120 top-tier companies such as Bank of New York, PepsiCo, Deloitte, and Micron Technology recruiting from campus. He also introduced two new initiatives: a reflective journal fostering ethical introspection and the IMT Hyderabad Debate League designed to enhance students’ communication skills.
Shri Kamal Nath, Chief Mentor of IMT Hyderabad, addressed the graduates, underlining the institute’s vision to nurture professionals with both global perspective and local insight. He stressed the importance of values like curiosity, humility, connectedness, and responsibility, encouraging graduates to uphold these principles as they advance in their careers. Shri Kamal Nath highlighted the lasting support from faculty and alumni, advocating that graduates remain engaged with the IMT community.
Awarding excellence, the ceremony recognized top performers with four gold medals, three silver medals, and a Distinguished Achievement Award for exemplary academic and leadership qualities. Towards the ceremony’s conclusion, Prof. (Dr.) K M Baharul Islam honored the chief guest, Shri Kamal Bali, with a token of appreciation. The convocation ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Steven Raj Padakandla, who congratulated all graduates and wished them success in their future endeavors. This grand event reinforced IMT Hyderabad’s dedication to fostering leadership, knowledge, and excellence among its students, contributing to societal and business progress.
