Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has received the highest Platinum award in the Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition 2020 in the 15-35 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category for its water management practices.
On World Environment Day, Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific announced the results of the region’s annual Green Airports Recognition 2020.
The recognition was the outcome of the submissions shared this year focused on water management documenting approaches to wastewater treatment, water harvesting, water recycling, and water reduction.
ACI’s Green Airports Recognition program promotes environmental best practices to minimize aviation’s impact on the environment and recognizes ACI Asia-Pacific’s members for outstanding accomplishments in their environmental projects.
