Two-day anime festival in Narsingi will feature cosplay, gaming, music, fan art, merchandise and special guests on November 14 and 15.
Hyderabad: Anime fans in Hyderabad have something exciting to look forward to this November as Anime India prepares to make its debut in the city with a two-day celebration of Japanese pop culture.
The event is scheduled for November 14 and 15, 2026, at The Address Convention Centre, Narsingi. From cosplay and gaming to music, fan art and merchandise, the festival aims to bring together anime enthusiasts, creators and cosplayers from across Hyderabad.
A Weekend Dedicated to Anime Culture
Anime India Hyderabad is being planned as a large-scale gathering where fans can celebrate their favourite characters, stories and fictional worlds.
Visitors can expect a mix of cosplay competitions, gaming experiences, music, fan art displays and merchandise throughout the two-day event.
Organisers have also teased an appearance by a notable creator associated with the world of Bleach, although the identity of the guest has not yet been announced.
Grand Cosplay Royale Offers Rs 2 Lakh Prize Pool
One of the biggest highlights of the event will be the Grand Cosplay Royale, which will put the spotlight on costume craftsmanship and character portrayal.
The solo cosplay competition will include pre-judging followed by a stage appearance. Participants will be evaluated on costume construction, detailing, fit, mobility and how effectively they portray their chosen character.
Cosplayers will also be required to provide work-in-progress documentation of their costumes.
The competition carries a total prize pool of Rs 2 lakh. The winner will receive Rs 1 lakh, while the second and third-place winners will take home Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively. Five Judges’ Choice Awards worth Rs 5,000 each will also be presented.
Eligible entries must be inspired by approved Japanese fictional works, including anime, manga, light novels, visual novels, Japanese music, idols and Vocaloid works. Gaming characters and original characters are not eligible for the competition.
Anime India Hyderabad Tickets Start at Rs 299
Early-bird tickets for Anime India Hyderabad start at Rs 299 for a one-day pass and Rs 499 for a two-day pass.
Phase 1 tickets are priced at Rs 399 for one day and Rs 599 for both days. Tickets are being offered through District by Zomato, with prices and availability depending on the ticket phase.
