Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based SLG Hospitals has launched Cryotherapy (cold therapy) and advanced physiotherapy services aimed at providing specialised treatment for sports injuries and post-operation pain management.
Cryotherapy is a pain treatment that uses a method of localised freezing temperatures to deaden an irritated nerve. The therapy finds its applications in a variety of conditions including relieve muscle pain, sprains, swelling after soft tissue damage or surgery.
“In Cryotherapy, we employ extremely low temperatures to treat symptoms such as tissue damage, decrease inflammation, increase cell rejuvenation, improve skin tone, and reduce signs of aging. The therapy is extremely useful to treat sports injuries, post-operation care for knee and hip replacement, and in post shoulder and knee surgery,” said senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, SLG Hospitals, Dr V Jagan Mohana Reddy.
The advanced physiotherapy services were launched by Dandu Siva Rama Raju, CMD, SLG Hospitals in the presence of ED, DVS Soma Raju, senior doctors and hospital officials.
