Hyderabad: Shops and attar-selling establishments all around the city are seeing a considerable boost in consumer traffic as the fortunate month of Ramzan begins.
People are seen putting attar on their hands and experimenting with different scents to find the right one, while shop owners are seen guiding and enlightening customers on the various kinds of attar that are available and their corresponding meanings.
Several people choose scents like Khas, Shamama, Sandal, and Gulab to keep cool throughout the summer.
A significant market exists for premium attar imported from the United Arab Emirates and European nations in addition to conventional attar.
There are many imported attar perfumes available on the market, including Amber Rose, Mumtaz, Royal Woody, Royal Attar Sheik, Khususi, Patchouli, Citrus floral, and Oudh Rose, among others.
The manager of Ajmal Perfumes in Abids, Saleh Ahmed, described attar as a concentrated perfume oil made by combining natural oils without the use of alcohol.
With costs starting at Rs 250 for 10 ml and ranging as high as Rs 20,000 for the same amount, attar is renowned for its enduring aroma.

As is customary each year, a number of retailers have introduced fresh attar perfumes this season in an effort to draw customers.
“Fresh scents like Burmi, Hawass, Oudh-Al-Badar, Shan-E-Arab, and Ameer-Al-Oudh have been introduced to our selection.
