The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) launched the largest musical floating fountain in the country, stretching 180 meters in length and reaching 90 meters in height, at Hussain Sagar Lake near NTR Marg. This new addition is sure to be a hit among tourists and those seeking a fun weekend activity in Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has spent Rs. 17.02 crore to create the unique musical floating fountain, which measures 180 meters in length, 10 meters in width, and towers at a height of around 90 meters. This cost includes the operation and maintenance of the facility for the next three years, which will be handled by the HMDA.
The musical floating fountain boasts several impressive features, including three laser sets that display various themes, mist fairy fog for a cloud effect, and nearly 800 high-powered nozzles and 880 underwater LED lights for dynamic visuals. The nozzles and jets are controlled by a DMX controller and synchronized with music, with spray heights ranging from 12 meters to a towering 90 meters. According to the HMDA, there will be three 20-minute shows on weekdays and four shows on weekends, taking place between 7 pm and 10 pm.
