Hyderabad: Industry records show that the IT corridor is not the city’s sole expensive area now. Many other pockets on the other side are seeing prices at Rs 5,800-6,600 per sq. ft.
Areas like Suchitra Circle, Uppal, Kompally, Malkajgiri, and Gaganpahad come under this list. Since their families have been living here for decades, the children too want to invest in these places.
Madhu Babu, DGM of NSL group building Uppal’s first 24-floor apartment complex told the Times of India, “Twenty floors are ready and sold out.” The price is at Rs 5,600 per sq. ft. The group that is coming with a bunch of fresh projects in the eastern part of the city says that the new lot of houses will cost Rs 6,000 per sq. ft. and more.
At Suchitra Circle on NH 44, the price of some properties has already crossed the Rs 6,500 per sq. ft. mark. The base cost of a project here is around Rs 6,700 with premier houses attracting an extra Rs 400 per sq. ft. People from Malkajgiri were looking towards the west because there were no gated communities available earlier.
