Hyderabad: Amazon Web Services (AWS) is set to significantly expand its data center infrastructure in Hyderabad with a fresh investment of approximately Rs. 60,000 crore. The AWS region in Hyderabad is poised to play a key role in driving the growth of cloud services in India, with a focus on future advancements in AI.
The announcement came after a meeting at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, where AWS Vice President for Global Policy, Michael Punke, held discussions with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu.
AWS had previously announced an investment of USD 4.4 billion by 2030 to develop its cloud infrastructure in Telangana. So far, the company has established three data center sites in the state with an investment of approximately USD 1 billion, all of which are now operational.
To support its expansion plans, AWS has requested additional land from the government, a request that has been approved.
