The Battista, renowned for its record-breaking acceleration speed among electric vehicles, was introduced at the Hyderabad E-Motor Show on Thursday.
At the Hyderabad E-Motor Show, held as part of the E-Mobility Week, the Battista, the world’s fastest accelerating electric car, was unveiled for the first time in India. This landmark event takes place as the city prepares for India’s inaugural Formula E Grand Prix on February 11. Designed, engineered, and manufactured by Automobili Pininfarina, a luxury car brand owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, the Battista boasts the epitome of iconic Italian design with unparalleled electric performance.
The Battista, the pure-electric hyper GT car, was revealed to the public for the first time in India at the Hyderabad E-Motor Show. The makers boast that the car is not only a work of design art and the most powerful car ever manufactured in Italy, but also the fastest accelerating car globally.
Sujai Karampuri, Director of Electronics, Semiconductors and Advanced Chemistry Cell of the Telangana government, unveiled the car in the presence of Gurpratap Boparai, CEO of Europe Business at Mahindra & Mahindra, and Paolo Dellacha, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina. Karampuri expressed his pride in the association between Telangana and the Mahindra Group and the cutting-edge technology in electric mobility brought by Mahindra.
“The Battista embodies the height of electric vehicle technology,” stated Boparai. He added that its participation in the Hyderabad E Prix circuit will be its first appearance in India.
Dellacha stated that their partnership with the Mahindra Group is only getting stronger for the future.
The Hyderabad E-Motor Show is being held from February 8th to 10th at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The event spans an area of 10,500 square meters, showcasing products from commercial electric vehicle companies, energy storage companies, charging infrastructure providers, and EV component manufacturers, as well as startups in these fields. It offers a stage for both global and domestic electric vehicle players to demonstrate their capabilities and strengths to the world.
