Hyderabad: As part of its CSR activity, State Bank of India (SBI) donated one Maruti EECO 7 seater van to Shanti Nilayam Rehabilitation Centre for taking care of people with special needs at Bonakal, Khammam and also a Maruti super carry van to Means Senior Citizens Care Home at Rampally crossroads, Nacharam.
Saloni Narayan, SBI Deputy Managing Director (Retail Business), who handed over the vehicles, said the bank was continuously striving to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals who are economically, physically and socially challenged. “CSR activities in project mode are done through bank’s social services arm, SBI Foundation,” she said.
She conducted a series of official programmes including a synergy meet of heads of different business verticals for an improved co-ordinated delivery of banking service across Telangana.
Om Prakash Mishra, Chief General Manager said the bank has spent an amount of Rs 290 lakh in the State during the current financial year on various CSR activities.
