Hyderabad’s L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) received the ‘Top 10 Best NGOs of the Year – 2024’ at the recent Global CSR & ESG Awards-2024 event in Gurgaon. Mahaveer C Jain, representing the Public Relations and Donor Affairs team, accepted the award on LVPEI’s behalf.

LVPEI received this accolade for its significant impact on the eye health sector. Its services directly benefit 150 million individuals in India annually, providing over 2 million eye care services, including 150,000 surgeries. Nearly 50 percent of these services are offered free of cost, regardless of the complexity of care. LVPEI is also renowned as one of the largest corneal transplantation centers globally, having performed over 50,000 transplants, according to the press release.
The Global CSR and ESG Awards aim to assess and evaluate corporate CSR and ESG commitments, acknowledge NGOs and social enterprises collaborating with them to effectively fulfill these commitments, and generate enduring impact.
