Hyderabad: Eli Lilly and Company, a leading multinational pharmaceutical firm, announced on Thursday its plans to establish a new Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad. Named Lilly Capability Centre India (LCCI) Hyderabad, the facility will initially focus on enhancing Lilly’s expertise in automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering, and cloud computing. The center aims to develop advanced technology solutions to meet the evolving global demands of Lilly’s business operations.
LCCI Hyderabad will be Eli Lilly’s second capability center in India, following the establishment of LCCI Bengaluru in 2016. The company plans to hire around 1,000 to 1,500 skilled professionals, including technology engineers and data scientists. Recruitment for the center has already begun, with operations expected to start by mid-2025.
Commenting on the announcement, Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, said, “We are pleased to welcome Lilly’s new global capability center to Hyderabad. This investment highlights the city’s growing reputation as a hub for healthcare innovation and talent.
