A team of IIT Roorkee students studying Masters in Urban & Rural Planning met with Municipal Administration and Urban Development Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar in Hyderabad. The students, led by their Associate Professor Dr. Arindam Biswas, are in Hyderabad for their Metropolitan Planning Studio.
At the meeting, the Special Chief Secretary provided information about the significant infrastructure development, policy interventions, housing, sanitation, transportation projects, as well as the development outcomes attained by the MA&UD department in the state. He also shared details of future outcomes anticipated to be delivered in the next few months.
A press release stated that the Special Chief Secretary suggested that the students engage with other departments in MA&UD such as HMWSSB, GHMC, SNDP, Housing, and TS-bPASS. Additionally, field visits to double bedroom sites, Jawaharnagar Dumpyard, and the Waste to Energy plant have been scheduled for the students.
