The general aviation terminal, spanning 11,234 square feet, is situated next to the RGIA terminal and offers a private entrance and parking facilities.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, managed by the GMR group, announced the launch of a cutting-edge general aviation terminal on Monday, exclusively designed for private jet owners and users. This new facility is intended to cater to the diverse needs of passengers flying on chartered flights for both business and personal travel.
In a press release, the airport operator emphasized the terminal’s focus on delivering a luxurious experience tailored to high-end clientele who frequently travel through Hyderabad Airport. Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport, highlighted Hyderabad’s status as a thriving economic hub, with the second-highest concentration of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (HNI) in India. He also noted that the region’s booming pharmaceutical and IT sectors, along with the development of Global Capability Centres by multinational corporations, have driven a significant increase in private jet traffic.
“By redefining the flying experience, this new facility sets a new benchmark for extraordinary travel,” Panicker stated. “The terminal will extend luxury to our frequent HNI travelers, offering unmatched comfort, convenience, and personalized services. Our commitment to delivering a world-class experience remains unwavering as we continue to elevate excellence in the years ahead.”
