In this fast-paced corporate life that we all live in, having a comfortable lifestyle and a world-class work environment is every individual's dream. While we thrive to succeed, coworking spaces act as a catalyst in nurturing the work ecosystem and enhancing the economy of our nation. Ever since the Hyderabadi startup culture has matured, there always has been a rise in the demand for professional, flexible, and community-driven coworking spaces. The coworking space market is well established in most metro cities and has slowly begun to spread across various tier-2 cities also, as the number of jobs has constantly been increasing over the years. In today’s world coworking spaces not only provide a workstation but also play a crucial role in the development of society. One such company that bridges that gap between aspiring professionals and world-class facilities is CoKarma. CoKarma provides business-friendly workspaces that are modern, personalized, and comfortable.
It was a pleasure for Hyderabad Stories to know about CoKarma from the company’s Founding Director, Mr. Tarun Mor himself.

With CoKarma, we are currently solving the real estate problem for startups, SMEs, and freelancers. In the future, we are looking at supporting them with marketing, recruitment, and other services to help them grow.

Preparation and process go a long way, also the only way to get better at facing challenges is by practicing taking more risks. One can only get better by practicing the game.

We want to grow CoKarma to a 100 coworking centres pan-India and also start growing globally. Having a thriving coworking ecosystem across the globe will create massive network effects for our community.
Impacts of the Pandemic and the steps that you have taken to overcome the crisis?
2020 was a tough year for everyone! We were very lean and frugal from day one which had helped us massively in staying afloat during the pandemic. Also having a great relationship with our customers, vendors, and partners have paid off in them helping us get through this period.
What do you think about the Startup culture in Hyderabad and how can it be enhanced?
The startup culture in Hyderabad is maturing, there are a lot of good startups which work under the radar and go unnoticed. These startups need to communicate their stories better and leverage platforms like “Hyderbad Stories”.

India needs around 10 million jobs a year and research from global data has shown us that it is startups, not large enterprises that create new job opportunities in any country. Nearly 3000 startups joined the Indian startup ecosystem in 2018, and the culture has grown multifold ever since. With 65% of our population falling under the age bracket of 25 to 35 years, the need for jobs and office spaces is rising by the day. Also, the growing startup culture comes with a demand for world-class and community-driven working environments. With the premium-looking positive ambiance, flexible plans, and most importantly the availability of coffee on the go, the community-driven coworking ecosystem has proven to be a booster for technological growth and innovation.
